10 Reasons Every Child Should Learn to Code

Technology is transforming almost every aspect of our lives. From healthcare and engineering to entertainment and environmental science, computers now play a role in nearly every profession. As a result, many parents are asking the same question:

Should my child learn to code?

After teaching Computing Science for over 30 years and working with hundreds more children through Code Cadets, my answer is simple:

Yes.

Learning to code isn’t just about becoming a software developer. It’s about developing the thinking skills, creativity and confidence that help children succeed throughout school and beyond.

Here are ten reasons why learning to code is one of the best investments you can make in your child’s future.

1. Coding Develops Outstanding Problem-Solving Skills
